We are excited to announce our slogan for 2023 is...
"TO THE STREETS"
But more than a slogan it is a promise and a mission. We promise to live out the call of Pope Francis "to take to the streets" in Mobile and share the Gospel with inner-city teenagers, many of whom are underserved and at-risk. We believe what St. John Paul II said, that the Gospel must live in conversation with the culture, because if the Church holds back from the culture, the Gospel itself falls silent.
We want to invite you to help us take the Gospel to the streets.
Becoming a Mission Partner
We hope that you will prayerfully consider how God is asking you to be a part of this mission.
Our operating budget for the year is $200,000. These funds will enable us to:- Mobilize 4 full-time, fully trained missionaries to reach out and invite teens into a relationship with God and others.
- Open the Urban Underground, our youth center that will be a safe place for teens to come, be known, and be loved.
- Offer high quality, engaging, and formative youth events like Breakout, our weekly youth night.
- Provide transportation for the teens we are working with.
- Offer various trips and retreats throughout the year, the highlight being a week long summer camp with teens from the other Vagabond Missions sites.
